Dear Riverside Middle School Community,

I am so honored and excited to be joining the RMS Knights. Prior to coming to RMS, I served as the principal of E. J. Hayes for 2 years and the assistant principal of Williamston Primary School for 4 years. I have also taught grades 4, 5, 6, and 7 here in Martin County. This year marks my 28th year in education, all of which has been in Martin County. I received my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from East Carolina University in 1993 (Go Pirates!) and my Masters in School Administration from N C State University (Go Pack!) in 2014.

Here at RMS, our motto is "One Team, One Goal, One Knight". We are all truly committed to our students and parents and strive to provide the best teaching and learning environment for students to be successful. It is my goal to make RMS a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment where students and teachers both feel empowered to set goals and work hard to reach them. It is important to me that everyone who comes through the doors feels the excitement, fun, and family atmosphere of RMS.
