NC Pre-K

North Carolina’s Pre-Kindergarten program for At-Risk four year olds.  Students must be 4 years old by August 31st.  North Carolina Division of Child Development and Early Education has determined that there are several risk factors that impact future school success. Eligibility for the Pre-K Program is based upon poverty, Limited English Proficiency, chronic health conditions, special needs, social risk factors, and low language and cognitive skills. 

Required documents to complete application process:   

Birth Certificate

Social Security Card
Income Verification (one of the following)

      * Recent Tax Return

      * One month - most recent pay stubs

      * Award letters from the Social Security Administration

      * Award letters from the Employment Security Commission

      * Statement from your employer as to your current pay rate & hours worked per week.

       * If you are unemployed please complete the MCS income statement provided.

 

Within 30 days of enrollment a health assessment including vision, hearing, dental screenings, and most up to date immunizations must be submitted
