Luis

Luis Castaneda will lead the Martin County High School Soccer team as head coach this fall.

Castaneda, a 2018 Riverside High School graduate and member of the soccer team, has been an assistant coach for the past five years.

ā€œIā€™m very eager and excited to teach the kids not only just about soccer but also about maturing and growing up in life, said Castaneda. ā€œWe had a rough previous year, and I think itā€™s going to be important for us to come mentally prepared for everything the game and life throws at us.ā€

Wes Hughes, MCHS Athletic Director, sees Castanedaā€™s new role as a positive for the program. ā€œLuisā€™ excitement for the soccer program and his relationship with the players should lead to a smooth transition moving forward this season.ā€
