Grant

Martin County Schools has been awarded $250,000 in grant funding from the Center for Safe Schools. Every dollar is designated for safety and security purposes.

The Center for Safer Schools School Safety Grant Program awarded these funds for three primary areas: Equipment, Services for Students in Crisis, and Training to Increase School Safety.

Each year, the CFSS receives more grant applications with a greater request in monies than they have to disburse. This year, the organization received over 240 grant applications, with a total request of over $85M.

Now that the grant has been approved, MCS officials will begin confirming their plan regarding how the money will benefit students in the district.
