North Carolina Junior Chef Competition Winners Announced
Cloudy With A Chance Of Pasta, consisting of three student chefs from Martin County High School, has placed second in the statewide North Carolina Junior Chef Competition.
Martin County High School seniors Miley Harrington, Jasmine Roberson, and Ryan Windley entered the competition under the guidance of their instructor April Joyner. They had to create a menu suitable for a school lunchroom, develop their plan, analyze their meal to ensure it met all standards for a school meal, and prepare a budget. This process began with the trio in Joyner’s Culinary Arts I class.
After making the top five, the team promoted their menu entry live during today’s (3/21) virtual award show.
We’ll have more on this amazing accomplishment and hear from the chefs. Stay Tuned!
