Mrs. Daniels' students recently read a passage about a character named Charlie and had to determine if Charlie was the boy or the dog. The students practiced looking back in the text to find evidence, ultimately discovering that Charlie was the dog! Families can support their upper elementary students’ reading by asking questions about what they read and encouraging them to provide evidence to back up their answers. This helps build comprehension and critical thinking skills, which are key to strong reading development. Thank you for supporting our young readers on their learning journey!
