Heather Smith, NC Teacher of the Year, and the State Teacher of the Year team visited E.J. Hayes on Wednesday, January 15, 2025. Guided by Martin County Schools’ 2023-2024 Teacher of the Year, Constance Cumbee, and Principal Bennett, they toured classrooms, engaged with students about their learning, and celebrated the amazing work happening at E.J. Hayes. Students were mesmerized!
