Greetings Tiger Family, This is your Principal Jason Myers with an important reminder. Tomorrow is the last day for students for the week. Friday January 14 and Tuesday January 17 are no school days for students. Monday is Martin Luther King Day and is also a No School day for students. Tomorrow is also the last day of the 3rd semester. In celebration of this, tomorrow is a spirit day for students and staff. Students can wear spirit wear alongside their uniform bottoms like they usually do on Fridays. E J Hayes and all Martin county schools will be on a 2 hour delay on Tuesday Morning due to the threat of icy conditions. Please be safe!
Martin County Schools will operate on a 2-hour delay for students on Tuesday, January 4. Staff should report on their regular schedule as long as travel conditions allow them to do so safely.

Hayes and to access the monthly lunch menus. On Tuesday January 4th, students will return to school. Please help us by keeping students home and getting them tested for Covid if they have any symptoms including but not limited to fever, headaches, loss of taste or smell, and/or flu like symptoms. Please also remind your children that masks must be worn completely covering their mouths and nose at all times unless they are outside or eating or drinking. Students who wear masks properly are less likely to be sent home due to exposure. We want to do our very best to keep every child and staff member as safe as possible. Greetings Tiger Family, This is your Principal Jason Myers with an important announcement, our PTA is hosting a choral concert tomorrow night at 6:30pm in the gymnasium. Santa Clause will also be making an appearance for pictures with students. Students who are singing should arrive no later than 6:15pm. All people should enter through the gym doors and masks are required to enter the building. We are also having spirit days on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday of this week. Wednesday: Merry and Bright---students wear festive clothing/accessories (sparkles, light up clothing, necklaces, and/or sequins). Thursday: Holiday Headgear/footwear--festive hats/antlers and/or crazy Christmas Socks. Friday: Christmas Spirit Day--Christmas shirt/sweater and jeans (Sweater can be "UGLY") Thank you for choosing E.J. Hayes: Where relationships foster learning!

We are still looking for new and used donations for our Christmas shoppe which will allow students to buys gifts for their family members through good behavior tickets earned in school. We also still need some gift wrappers on Thursday and Friday. Please contact your teacher for more information on how to help. Many students completed art projects dealing with flying but they need a permission slip signed to compete in an art competition signed by tomorrow. Please remember that our PTA will have an event this Tuesday December 14th at 6:30pm. Students will also be singing Christmas songs at this meeting. Students should arrive by 6:15pm if they are participating. Please remember that Friday is an Early Release Day and students will depart school at 12:45pm. And once again, Thank you for choosing E.J.
