Luis

Luis Castaneda will lead the Martin County High School Soccer team as head coach this fall.

Castaneda, a 2018 Riverside High School graduate and member of the soccer team, has been an assistant coach for the past five years.

“I’m very eager and excited to teach the kids not only just about soccer but also about maturing and growing up in life, said Castaneda. “We had a rough previous year, and I think it’s going to be important for us to come mentally prepared for everything the game and life throws at us.”

Wes Hughes, MCHS Athletic Director, sees Castaneda’s new role as a positive for the program. “Luis’ excitement for the soccer program and his relationship with the players should lead to a smooth transition moving forward this season.”
