These are the weekly announcements for May 28, 2023:

  • There is no school on Monday, May 29 in observance of the Memorial Day holiday. 


  • Google Certification Testing for Google Workspace Students will take place at the Innovation Campus from 8:30-11:30 am on Wednesday, May 31.

  • Registration for Summer Driver Education will be May 30 & 31 from 3:30 - 4:15 in the MCA lobby. The cost is $65. Students must attend school in Martin County. Homeschool students are eligible to register for class as long as they reside in Martin County. Students must be born on or before December 2008 to register. The class dates for RHS are June 19-23 8:30 am - 3:30 pm daily. Please email amcgill@martin.k12.nc.us or call 252-792-1575 if you have any questions.

  • All library books should be returned by June 1, 2023.

  • Juniors (rising seniors!) This is a friendly reminder about the NC required meningococcal immunization. Students must show proof of receiving this vaccination prior to entering 12th grade.  So many of you have already turned in your records and that is so appreciated!  Way to go JUNIOR CLASS!  If you have questions regarding this vaccine, please talk with your provider, the local health department, or Nurse Spence at school.

  • There will be a rehearsal for all Marching Band Winds and Percussion on May 31st from 3:30-5:30. There will be another practice on Tuesday June 6th from 3:30-5:30 followed by the end of year band cookout at 5:30, and a band parent meeting at 6:30. It is very important that parents make plans to attend this meeting.  

  • June 1 & 2 - Teacher Made Exams

  • June 5 & 6 - EOCs/Senior CTE Exams

  • June 6 & 7 - CTE Exams 

  • June 9 - Last Day of School - Early Release Day 1:00 pm

  • June 10 - Graduation @ 9:00 by ticket only MCA. Doors will open at 8:00. We ask all guests not to bring balloons or flowers into the MCA.

Graduation/Senior Information:

  • Senior fees are now $90 & are payable to Mr. Delph each day by 1:30 pm. The last day to pay Senior fees will be May 31st. This fee covers the cost of your cap & gown unit, as well as other graduation expenses.  If you have not picked up your cap & gown please see Mrs. Hoggard in room 183 during 1st period or after school to pick it up ASAP. Do not interrupt her classes to get your cap & gown. Seniors, you must also clear all of your school debts and fees by May 31, 2023 or you will not be able to participate in graduation and your diplomas will be held.

  • Graduation for the Class of 2023 will be on Saturday June 10th at 9:00 am. A ticket will be required for admission. We do not know yet how many tickets every senior will get & we will not know until the week before graduation. A ticket will be required for every person that enters the auditorium, including infants & children. Balloons & flowers will not be allowed to be brought into the auditorium. If you bring them, they will have to be taken back to your vehicle before you will be allowed to enter. 

  • Seniors information about graduation pictures has been placed in the Senior Google classroom. Please share this information with your parents/guardians ASAP!

  • Practice for graduation has been changed to June 9th at 11:00. PRACTICE IS MANDATORY!!!!!! IF YOU DO NOT ATTEND PRACTICE, YOU WILL NOT BE ALLOWED TO PARTICIPATE IN THE CEREMONY ON SATURDAY MORNING!!!!!! Seniors will need to meet in the cafeteria for practice at 11:00 am. Following practice, there will be a Senior picnic that is open to all graduating seniors. There will be free food & games. Be sure to stay after practice to enjoy the fun!!

  • Seniors, if you have a family member who will need assistance getting into the auditorium or for seating for graduation, please see Mrs. Hoggard to pick up a form to fill out. This will allow you to have a placard to put in the windshield of the vehicle for special parking & to get someone to take them in a golf cart to the auditorium entrance. Please do not interrupt her class to get a form. Forms must be returned to Mrs. Hoggard or Mrs. Most by June 5th.
