Installation began this week on the district's first new elementary school playground.
Each of the district’s elementary schools—South Creek, Williamston Primary, EJ Hayes, Jamesville, and Rodgers—will soon enjoy a new playground with inclusive features.
Students at South Creek Elementary School, pictured here, will soon enjoy their first-ever playground. Installation at other campuses will begin soon.
The new playgrounds at schools such as EJ Hayes will replace old equipment and improve playground safety for students.
According to MCS Maintenance Director Hank Edwards, the set-up of the playgrounds may differ slightly depending on the students' ages.
The playgrounds were made possible by Federal funding and came at no cost to Martin County Schools.
