Fourth grade has been learning about energy! After studying about energy, forms of energy, and how energy can be transferred we spent two days experimenting with circuits.
On Wednesday students used Makey-Makeys to test if items were insulators or conductors of electricity. We found that so many items will allow electricity to pass through, including our own bodies, play doh, and even bananas!
On Thursday students used the same Makey-Makeys as a source of electricity to build their own circuits and power a LED light. All groups were able to work together to get their light turned on using their hands as a ālight switchā. Some even went a step further and found ways to keep their light turned on without a switch.
