Dear Martin County Schools MS/HS Students and Parents,
On Monday, March 29th, 2021, the Martin County Schools Board of Education voted for all Middle and High school students to transition to NC Plan A on Monday, April 12, 2021. Under NC Plan A, students will transition from the current A-Day/B-Day schedule to Four Days a Week In-Person Learning (with One Day Virtual Schooling on Fridays).
Elementary School students are already on NC Plan A five days a week. However, for Middle and High School students, this is a new transition to NC Plan A. It is important to keep in mind that NC Plan B (i.e., 2 days face-to-face and 3 days virtual remote learning) is no longer an option.
All students in Martin County Schools are allowed and encouraged to switch to NC Plan A. The school system is pleased to be able to offer this plan to all of our middle and high school students and look forward to seeing the students in our hallways and classrooms. Parents of K-5 students that are interested in their child returning to face to face learning may contact their school.
We are working hard every day to provide a quality education in a safe environment. However, we fully understand if students do not wish to attend school in-person. For this reason, students who wish to remain on Remote / Virtual learning with the Martin County School System can do so by contacting their school directly.
Thank you for your support of Martin County Schools!
