Rana Beach, Martin County Schools Director of Testing and Accountability and Migrant Learning, will add Federal Programs Director to her responsibilities for the 2023-2024 school year.
“Ms. Beach has spent 17 years in education and has seen the inner workings of a school district from all levels,” said Dr. Michelle White, Superintendent of Martin County Schools. “She brings a great deal of experience and continues to accept new challenges that will benefit our students in different ways and expand her career.”
Beach, a 2000 graduate of Williamston High School, began her career in 2006 teaching middle school math in Martin and surrounding counties. She returned to Martin County Schools to teach math at the Success Academy, the early MCS Alternative Program.
During the 2013-2014 school year, Beach began her transition to an administrative career, serving as a principal intern at South Creek Middle School. She later became an assistant principal at Rodgers Elementary School and principal of Edna Andrews Elementary School and then South Creek Elementary School.
Beach has also served the district as a Beginning Teacher Specialist.
In 2021, she took over the role of Director of Testing and Analytics for Martin County Schools.
Beach holds a Bachelor's Degree in Middle Grades Education with specializations in mathematics and social studies from North Carolina Wesleyan College (2006) and a Master's Degree in Educational Administration from Grand Canyon University (2014).
