Please check out our Smore newsletter which is shared on Fridays to volunteer for field day, to see Steam projects and to access the final lunch menu. If your child missed an EOG, they will retake the exam on Monday or Tuesday. Many 3rd graders will also be taking a Read to Achieve test on Monday. Please arrive at school on by 7:55am! Please return the Student of the month yard signs if you still have one from last month. If you have a chromebook and a hotspot on loan from E.J. Martin County Schools considers the health and well-being of our students and staff a priority. We are sending this notification to keep your family up to date on COVID-19 cases identified within the school. There was one COVID-19 case identified at E.J. Hayes Elementary School from May 28-June 3. In an effort to protect the health and safety of our students and staff, we recommend your child be tested if they develop symptoms. Martin County Schools offers free testing for students and staff. For information please contact the school nurse. In partnership, Martin County Schools, Martin-Tyrell-Washington Health department, CDC, and Department of Health and Human Services are working together to provide students and staff a safe school environment. Please make sure that all students arrive at school before the 7:55 bell in the morning. If a student is late to school, there is a chance that they will miss their test and have to test at a latter day. Thank you to the parents that have already returned the federal chromebooks and hotspots. If you have not done so, please return yours to the school as soon as possible. I spoke to many teachers who were blown away with all of the love and appreciation shown from students and parents all throughout the week. Thanks again.
