Greetings Tiger Family, this is your principal Jason Myers with an important message. I wanted to make you aware that I will not be returning to EJ Hayes next fall. I will be following opportunities that allow me to work closer to my family. I will continue working at E.J. Hayes for the rest of the school year and into the summer. Do not hesitate to reach out if you have any questions or concerns. Greetings Tiger Family, This is your Principal Jason Myers with the Weekly announcements for E.J. Hayes. Next Week is teacher appreciation week. We will be celebrating our teachers each and every day. Please join with us and send an email or write a note to your child's teachers thanking them for the awesome job that they do for our students. Please remind your children to thank their teachers in person as well. 5th graders are taking field trips next week. On Tuesday, they are visiting Riverside Middle school for an orientation and on Thursday and Friday they are travelling to the innovation campus for a technology visit. Please make sure they have their permission slips signed, otherwise they will not be able to attend. Report cards will go home with students on Thursday May 5th. Congratulations to our Battle of the books team who finished 2nd in the regional competition on Wednesday and our Math Counts team that finished first place in the competition today! Congratulations to the E.J. Hayes Elementary Math Counts team who came in first place today at the county wide event. Special recognition to Teddy Swain who came in 1st place and Nicholas Leary who came in 3rd place in the individual competition. Go Tigers!

Good luck to our battle of the Books and Math Counts teams who are competing this week at Innovation campus. Science Check ins for 5th graders will happen on Tuesday. Tuesday April 5th is also the PTA meeting for Hayes with amazing art on display to view and take home. We hope to see as many parents there as possible! 4th Graders will visit the innovation campus on Thursday and Friday. Please make sure you signed the permission slip.
