Attention Seniors:
The Hagan Scholarship is a nationwide need-based merit scholarship, designed to provide each recipient with the opportunity to Graduate College Debt-Free. Recipients of a Hagan Scholarship will graduate from an Eligible Public High School located in a county having fewer than 50,000 residents or from a remote rural public high school located in a larger county. There is NO Application Fee. To inform your students about the Hagan Scholarship please provide a link from your school’s website to Haganscholarships.org.
Hagan Scholarship recipients are high achieving, self-motivated students who will require substantial financial assistance to attend college. The Hagan Scholarship provides up to $48,000 over four years; nine hundred twenty-seven Hagan Scholars from 43 states are currently enrolled at 358 colleges and universities. Over 2,000 Hagan Scholarships have been awarded to date, 500 more scholarships will be awarded in April 2021.

Breakfast is served from 8:00 - 9:00 and Lunch from 11:00 until 12:30.
Meals at Riverside High School may be received by students on Monday, Aug 24, 2020. Meals will be taken out for curbside service only.
Beginning September 1st we will be required to collect lunch numbers for the students receiving meals.
Attention students: It is imparative that you log into your classes daily. Your attendance is based on joining google meets and completing daily assignments.
Jostens will hold virtual meetings on Sept. 5th for Seniors @ 10 a.m. and for Juniors @ 10:30 a.m. via google meet. Mr. Woody will email the invitation to you this week. PLEASE check your email.
Any senior who has not emailed a picture of their signature to Mr. Hollis needs to do so ASAP. Please, PLEASE, seniors need to write their signature on PLAIN WHITE PAPER USING A BLACK OR BLUE INK PEN, take a picture of it, and email it to Mr. Hollis. Your signature will appear on the back of this year’s senior t-shirt.
Due to remote learning this fall, the National Honor Society will postpone its induction of new members until the spring. Qualified candidates will be contacted at the beginning of Spring semester.

All parking lots open at 10:30 a.m. Guests will park in the student parking lot. If a guest has a state-issued handicap placard or license plate, they may park in the Fab 40 Lot outside of the Football Stadium.
Groups of guests MUST present the school-issued pass to drive onto campus and to enter the stadium, which they must do together at one time. No one will be admitted without it.
Programs will be available at the stadium ticket gate. Once guests enter the stadium, they may sit on the hill (they should bring chairs/blankets if they wish to sit on the hill) or they may sit in the stadium in designated areas as instructed by staff. Standing or sitting along the fence in front of the stadium bleachers is not permitted.
Once guests enter the stadium, they may NOT leave for any reason. If they leave the stadium area, they will NOT be allowed re-entry. Movement in the stadium should be limited to restrooms only. Restrooms will be sanitized prior to the gates opening; however, they will not be re-sanitized until Graduation has concluded.
Guests are encouraged to stay in their seating area and maintain social distancing from other groups. Water will be provided, and guests are encouraged to obtain their water BEFORE taking their seats. Guests are also asked to dispose of their water bottles in the recycling receptacles near each stairwell at the conclusion of the Graduation ceremony.
NOTE: At 11:25 a.m. the gate to the Fab 40 lot will be LOCKED and NO GUESTS will be allowed to enter. PLEASE encourage your guests to arrive before this time. It is imperative that everyone be in place and ready so that we may begin the procession at 11:30 a.m.
Yearbooks are now available. All yearbooks need to be picked up by Thursday at 2:00? We have 13 extra copies for sale. Please see Mrs. Penny Manning in the office by Thursday at 1:30 if you'd like to purchase one.

Only two Seniors have submitted their video for pass the diploma. Monday is the last day to submit.
Few Seniors have submitted Scholarships or awards to be recognized this year.
There will be information mailed on Tuesday from the County Office in reference to graduation.
Riverside High School's Food drop-off will start at Gaylord Perry Park at 11:00am.
All schools will provide grab and go bags that will include a lunch meal for the day and a separate breakfast meal for the next morning.

Good Evening Parents and students. These are your weekly announcements from Riverside High School. As you are probably aware, all public schools will be closed until March 30th.
Our teachers will be working to put together assignments either through online resources or packets. There has been a survey emailed to all students to determine their preference for receiving their assignments.
Please complete the survey as soon as possible. If you have belongings at the school that you will need over the next two weeks, the school will be open tomorrow for you to get those items.
