
Students will go to their 1st block for the new semester. This can be found on the infinite campus portal in the nc edcloud. Directions for this process and the drop/add form can be found on our social media, school websites, and the class of google classrooms for each student. The drop/add form will close on Feb. 2. Please check google classrooms daily. Students that do not have access to their schedule will stay in the cafeteria after breakfast to receive their S2 schedule. All early college students will report to the IC as normal. Report cards for the 1st semester will go home this week. The band will host a pancake supper on February 13 from 5-8 pm. Tickets are $8. See a band member to purchase a ticket. No tickets will be sold at the door. Prom will be on April 5 at the Roanoke Country Club. This is for 11th and 12th graders. More details will be coming soon. ACT WorkKeys prep sessions for Spring students that are completing CTE pathways will be on 2/5, 2/13, 2/14, and 2/18. Fall graduation practice will be on February 4 at 6 pm. Due to the threat of inclement weather, fall graduation will be postponed to Feb. 4 at 6 pm in the auditorium. Fall graduation practice will be on Feb. 3 at 2 pm in the auditorium. All students that are participating in the fall graduation ceremony must attend the practice.

The 2nd semester starts on January 23rd. Students will receive their official 2nd semester schedule by going to their fall semester 1st period at the start of the day on January 23rd. The only exception is any student that had a CTE class at the IC 1st block for the 1st semester. These students will meet in the cafeteria. All early college students will report to the IC as normal. Please review this with your student. January 20th there is no school in observance of Martin Luther King Day. January 21st and 22nd are teacher workdays and there is no school for students. Fall graduation will be on January 23rd at 6 pm in the auditorium. Practice for fall graduation is on January 22 at 10 AM in the auditorium. All students walking for the fall graduation must attend the practice. There will be a SIT meeting in the media center at 9 AM on January 22. Martin County Schools FFA hosted the annual Federation Truck & Tractor competition today at the Innovation Campus. Landon Stalls participated in the event for MCS that also included four other schools. Mrs. Patterson set the course and students enjoyed a great time in the cold. Thank you to Lilley International (Career Fair Sponsor) and Feyer Ford for providing the equipment to support the competition. #MCSCTE #LearningthroughDoing





MCHS will operate on a 2 hour delay tomorrow. The building is open for staff at 9:30 AM and students enter at 9:45 AM. Breakfast will not be served. Check your school email for the updated schedule. Please stay safe on the roads.

Students are reviewing for exams January 6-10 so it’s important to be on time and present every day.
Classes with teacher made exams will test on January 9 and 10. These are regular school days and students will still be reviewing for all exams.
Biology/ Math 1 / Math 3 /English 2 / CTE classes will test by block starting on January 13.
Students signing out after exams the week of January 13 must have a note for each day. It must include the date/student printed name/guardian printed name/guardian signature/guardian phone number. Please note that no students can leave until all exams are over.
